Part of the work of undoing White Supremacy Culture is learning to welcome the stranger, whoever they may be. It's not always easy to welcome everyone and love them as the neighbors that they are.

Rev. Paul Sprecher retired from First Parish in Bridgewater in 2021. Before that, he served as minister at Second Parish in Hingham and as Sabbatical Minister at Murray Church in Attleboro and at the Chatham Meeting House. In other lifetimes, Rev. Paul taught seventh- and eighth-grade US History and English at the Collegiate School for Boys in New York City and later served as Vice President for Technology at the American Stock Exchange.

Join us as we celebrate Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment, by bringing your pet to church for a special blessing. If you are unable to bring your pet to church, you might bring a photo or your pet’s favorite toy for a blessing. Children are also encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal for a blessing.
